The Power of our words: our choice

Have your words ever, be honest, cut someone so DEEP?
How do you feel after someone has cut you with their words?

Here is an example of how words can cut deep:
1. My words damaged someone's spirit when I got Online and slandered my care provider's daughter about her braces and my previous orthodontist.
2. The tone coming out of my mouth has been both nice and evil. This reflects in my heart that I need to be kind to others even when it is not my business.
3. God's word has proven this way by reminding me that when I sin, Jesus paid the death penalty for the punishment for my sins, therefore I can rest assured that I am forgiven both past present and future as I walk with him.

Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 NIV
[2] Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. [3] A dream comes when there are many cares, and many words mark the speech of a fool.
Ecclesiastes 10:12-14 NIV
[12] Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips. [13] At the beginning their words are folly; at the end they are wicked madness--- [14] and fools multiply words. No one knows what is coming---who can tell someone else what will happen after them?
James 3:1-12 NIV
[1] Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. [2] We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. [3] When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. [4] Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. [5] Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. [6] The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one's life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. [7] All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, [8] but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. [9] With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness. [10] Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. [11] Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? [12] My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
Colossians 4:6 NIV
[6] Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Proverbs 18:21 NIV
[21] The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

If you have EVER gossiped or slandered ANYONE, come to the river of life and be washed clean of your sin!
Jesus LOVES you so much that he took the penalty for your sins on the cross.

Lord Jesus we thank you for the fact that we can come before you boldly to your Throne of Grace and be cleansed of our sins. Please help us not to slander others and give us all strength to make a difference by saying kind things to others. Now Lord to you be the glory. Thy will be done. In Jesus name, amen.

Blessings!
