The Bible: Does It Matter What Version We as believers read?

Growing up isn't easy as we all know.

I grew up Charismatic and was baptized into the Charismatic Movement when I was only eight years old.
Let's back up for a moment here: even though I was baptized into the Movement, I still had DEEP questions about my salvation. So, I went Online and investigated my salvation.

Contrary to popular belief, I was NOT a real Christian. Not until August 19, 2016 @11:30am!

That's right! I actually confessed my sins and prayed to receive Christ and his gift of salvation.

The reality hit me at the Sally Griffin Senior Center in California while I was in the middle of washing a filthy bucket!

Yes, Jesus met me right where I was. Crying, miserable, failure. He met me and I received his grace!

You should too!

Although, God does NOT force his salvation upon us, that is a decision that we make on our own.

Psalm 37:3-6 NIV
[3] Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. [4] Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. [5] Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: [6] He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
1 Corinthians 3:18-23 NIV
[18] Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. [19] For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness” ; [20] and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” [21] So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, [22] whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future---all are yours, [23] and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
2 Corinthians 11:16-33 NIV
[16] I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then tolerate me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting. [17] In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool. [18] Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast. [19] You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise! [20] In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or puts on airs or slaps you in the face. [21] To my shame I admit that we were too weak for that! Whatever anyone else dares to boast about---I am speaking as a fool---I also dare to boast about. [22] Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham's descendants? So am I. [23] Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. [24] Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. [25] Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, [26] I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. [27] I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. [28] Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. [29] Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn? [30] If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. [31] The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying. [32] In Damascus the governor under King Aretas had the city of the Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me. [33] But I was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands.

It doesn't matter, by the way, what bible version you use to worship and study God's holy word! Just because someone tells you that you are reading a certain version and it's wrong, doesn't make it true!

I am ramping UP my prayer life just for all of you!

Take care and I sure hope this helped you in ANY way possible.

Love in Christ,

[16] ¿Cómo sabes, esposa, si vas a salvar a tu marido? O, ¿cómo sabes, marido, si vas a salvar a tu esposa?
Efesios 5: 21-33 NVI

Triste verdad. Realidad dura.

Espero que te animen!

Con el Amor del Padre,

Marriage and the True Reality Regarding Three to Four divorces: Are you a victim?

Sometimes, I don't know what to say to a hurting person....
I have known people who have gone through about three to four divorces at a time and are either married or widowed.
I'll give you this advice though: Love is not enough to keep you married; only Jesus is enough.

Because most people won't tell you this sad and hard reality: you will still want to walk away. You can premarital counsel to work out all your drama which will still show up and you can have amazing amazing highs and hard, hard lows.

www.proverbs31.org

Why am I talking about marriage? Because the bible deals a lot with it.
Genesis 2:19-25 NIV
[19] Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. [20] So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. [21] So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. [22] Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. [23] The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man. ” [24] That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. [25] Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
1 Corinthians 7:10-16 NIV
[10] To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. [11] But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife. [12] To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. [13] And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. [14] For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. [15] But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. [16] How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
Ephesians 5:21-33 NIV
[21] Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. [22] Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. [24] Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. [25] Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her [26] to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, [27] and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. [28] In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. [29] After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church--- [30] for we are members of his body. [31] “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” [32] This is a profound mystery---but I am talking about Christ and the church. [33] However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 NIV
[12] Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Friends, love is not the answer: Jesus is in order to keep your marriage strong and that INCLUDES  marrying your best friend!

Sad truth. Hard reality.

Hope you are encouraged!

With the Love of the Father,

1 Pedro 2: 22-24 NVI

¡Bendiciones!

Death is a Reality On Earth But not if you have received Christ

How would you feel if you were told you were going to die tomorrow and the only way to life is the cross of Jesus Christ? Hmmm?

Unfortunately, we even as Christians take life for granted sometimes or maybe all the time. This is bad. A really bad problem indeed.

Fortunately, we as believers, have the cross to look to.

What if the answer to life isn't the cross of Jesus? News flash: it is!

Take these verses in for a minute and let them reprimand you for a legacy:

Isaiah 55:6-13 NIV
[6] Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. [7] Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. [8] “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. [9] “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. [10] As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, [11] so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. [12] You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. [13] Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord's renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever.”
Malachi 3:6-7 NIV
[6] “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. [7] Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, 'How are we to return?'
1 Peter 2:22-24 NIV
[22] “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.” [23] When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. [24] “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
1 Peter 2:24 NIV
[24] “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

I am trying to paint a picture here of what life on earth, as I said before, should look like.

If you have never received Christ, now is your only chance to do so. Without Christ, you are not really living in the Spirt because you are dead in Him, but alive with the world!

May God bless you and may you be at full peace with him and man.

Blessings!
