Bible Jeopardy: Is It Really Worth My Time to fully read the Bible?

What does it mean to be alone with God? Some say that being alone requires a bible and thinking or praying.
That is true. But being alone with God (the Creator of the universe) is way more then just being alone with a bible and talking openly to him in prayer. It's committing to follow in his footsteps of faith because that is what Jesus came to do. How you may ask? How do we spend more time with him alone?

The answer is that if we turn off the television, for example Facebook or Twitter or Youtube, and focus on him, we can get a better understanding of, I will use another example, when we fully submit to him in our body, soul, mind and spirit.

I am painting a picture of what is feels like to have God Almighty with us in the good times and the horrible times here on earth.

Genesis 39:2-6 NIV
[2] The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. [3] When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, [4] Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. [5] From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the Lord was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field. [6] So Potiphar left everything he had in Joseph's care; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well-built and handsome,
Genesis 39:21-23 NIV
[21] the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. [22] So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. [23] The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph's care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.
Romans 8:28-30 NIV
[28] And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. [29] For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. [30] And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

So, how do we start the day off with a little time with God? Open up your bible to any passage and ask him to search your heart and soul. It takes time to sit down and do this daily. But it is worth the time and energy.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's get started!

See you soon!

Blessings!
