Persecuting Other Christian is Not God's Intention Behind Faith

Have you ever felt persecuted for your faith? Maybe you have done something and were misunderstood?

I don't face persecution yet, but it can happen to anyone. Including myself.

Psalm 115:1-8 NIV
[1] Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. [2] Why do the nations say, “Where is their God?” [3] Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him. [4] But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands. [5] They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. [6] They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell. [7] They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats. [8] Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.
Matthew 5:10-12 NIV
[10] Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [11] “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. [12] Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Luke 6:27-36 NIV
[27] “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, [28] bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. [29] If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. [30] Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. [31] Do to others as you would have them do to you. [32] “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. [33] And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. [34] And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. [35] But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. [36] Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Maybe you need to spread your situation out before the Lord of hosts and let him take care of the details. Maybe you are not yet a Christian, and are still investigating the Christian faith.

If you are investigating the Christian faith, here are some links to help you out: http://shorelinechurch.org/sermon-videos/?enmse=1&enmse_tid=16http://shorelinechurch.org/sermon-videos/?enmse=1&enmse_tid=10http://shorelinechurch.org/sermon-videos/?enmse=1&enmse_tid=92,

I pray you find hope in only Jesus!

Blessings!
