Lessons to be learned about Pedestaling "Fathers"

I just learned a hard lesson: When a family member dies, don't ever try to replace that person with someone who is nice.
My dad died over a decade ago as you well know. But ever since a pastor came into my life, all I have been focusing on is how I can tell him that he is like a father to me. Quite frankly, that is pedestaling.

We are called to be stewards of light; not obsess over pastors just because our father's death startled us.
It's a painful experience, but we are grown in the end. I hope this teaches you and I a HUGE lesson about Who your Heavenly Father is.

Blessings!
