How many of you think and believe I need to be healed?
How many of you believe I have been healed?
Reality check: I have been healed!!!!
Take a look at the devotional below:
1. The storm that I am weathering right now is my mom constantly praying for my healing when I don't want it. I am afraid to tell her that I don't want or need the healing because I am afraid she will do something about it that is bad.
2. I have seen God lift me up in the past through my pastor praying over me about my problems and God answering our prayers.
3. I have learned how to pray in the midst of a storm through the storm, not out! I can use this as an example to help others pray during their tough storms.
Psalm 18:1-50 NIV
[1] I love you, Lord, my strength. [2] The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. [3] I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. [4] The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. Psalm 59:16-17 NIV
[16] But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. [17] You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.
Jonah 2:1-9 NIV
[1] 2 From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. [2] He said:
"In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry. [3] You hurled me into the depths, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me; all your waves and breakers swept over me. [4] I said, 'I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.' [5] The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head. Exodus 15:26 NLT
[26] He said, "If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the LORD who heals you."
This is my prayer for my baby brother however, it involves me as well!
