Lying about our tithes and offerings: how to avoid sneaking out into the folly of false money giving

Do you ever feel like you are robbing God?

In Acts 5, we read about a married couple, Ananias and Sapphira who conspired to deceive God with their tithe and offering by lying about what they vowed to give. Peter was the first person to address him, and at his words, they both fall down, dead.

When we give to God, we need to be honest about our resources.

Here is an arctic regarding churches and tithing even though it completely takes away from what I am trying to communicate to you.

Will you be honest about you ministry and money today?

Acts 5:1-11 NIV

[1] Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. [2] With his wife's full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet. [3] Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? [4] Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God." [5] When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. [6] Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him. [7] About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. [8] Peter asked her, "Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?" "Yes," she said, "that is the price." [9] Peter said to her, "How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also." [10] At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. [11] Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

Juan 14:27

Money and Security: :How the Real life does NOT depend on just financial stability but on one Foundation

I was once addicted to shopping, can you believe that?? I mean, I would pull money constantly from my bank account or monthly income and calculate the amount I make every two weeks before I got paid! I would spend money on candy, soda, coffee and more junk than what I needed for my body, mind and soul!

Then I learned about budgeting. So, I tithed the check before I got it and saved the rest in my bank. It was not easy!

At first, I was tempted to think that money was my source (biggest lie of security yet), of security and save it like I was going to pass on the next day if I didn't save it or get paid enough money!

Here's the bottom line: If you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you have eternal security in Him, alone!

Period!

I hope you can learn a lesson from me about security versus a secure fortress found ONLY in Jesus Christ!

Peace be with you all!

John 14:27

Bendiciones!

Pasajes clave: 1 Reyes 17: 1-6, Isaías 50: 4-10, Hebreos 13: 20-21

God is Calling Me to Do What For His Glory? Maybe it's too big of aTask?

Has God ever called you to a HUGE task??
Maybe your taking on a child who is rebellious,  a husband who wants a divorce because of your belief in Christ, or maybe you feel like God is calling you to travel the world to minister to places around the world where their people face dire persecution on a daily basis.

Whatever the task, God would not have called you, had he not equipped you to accomplish it!

When we worship God alone, something happens to our ability to finish the task at hand. We complete it in His Name!

So, the Next time God calls you to go do something, Do It!

Because he knows you can!

After all, God would not equip you if he knew you could not do it!

Blessings!

Bragging Rather Than Complaining: Don't Underestimate the Power of Thankfulness

Have you ever complained to your wife/husband or even your children about someone you just did not like? How about brag about that person?

Jesus is God's Son. Even though it's easier to brag about someone special, like possibly yourself, it's nicer and easier to brag about God. Why?

Well, because he paid the ultimate price for you and I on the cross!

Five classic reasons to brag about God:
1. He loves you intimately and wants to be close and deeply person with you at ALL TIMES!
2. He has authorized a book called the bible, which is sold in many stores today, (around 5 billion copies), and there is a LOT of stuff written in this book that you can share.
3. He loves you SO MUCH that he sent Jesus to die for your sins and pay the ultimate price (death, Hades, sin, and the grave), so you can be washed clean once you receive him as your Lord and Savior, (free).
4. He knows your EVERY need before you even ask him for whatever it is. So ask anyway. He is waiting to talk to you.
and,
5. He has provided for your every need without you knowing it.

There's a billion reasons to brag.

Pick one or all if you are willing.

¿A quién vas a servir? ¿Dios o dinero?

Https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+6:24&version=NIV, https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+16:13&version=NIV.

Servirle ... Vale la pena luchar. Génesis 15:11.

¡Bendiciones!

To Whom Will You Serve? God or money? The choice is yours...

Serve the Lord! You have heard this saying before.

Yes we must do this serving, but it can be hard.

In a world that promotes worth like it's money, know that serving the Lord is more important than the average American making his or her income to make a living.

Joshua 24:15 NIV
[15] But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
1 Kings 8:57-58 NIV
[57] May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. [58] May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in obedience to him and keep the commands, decrees and laws he gave our ancestors.
Psalm 32:8-9 NIV
[8] I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. [9] Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.

So what will it be? Serve the Lord, or Money? https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+6:24&version=NIVhttps://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+16:13&version=NIV.

Serve him... It is worth the fight. Genesis 15:11.
