Forgiveness comes when we Repent, Not when We just say, "I'm sorry!"
Have you ever received an apology that you absolutely sensed was not sincere?

In the link above, the Philistines take the ark of the covenant of our God. Hoping to end the plague on their people, the Philistines return the ark of the covenant of our holy God to Israel.
Wow, what a lesson in apology! Friend, we must be careful to know and realize that when we sin, we deeply hurt and offend our Holy God!
The Philistines were sorry they made God angry, but they were NOT sorry about how they made him angry.
Regret says, "I'm sorry!"
Repentance adds, "and I WON'T do it again!"
